Adri Wanto, PhD
CEO & Executive Director
Adri Wanto, PhD is an Indonesia-focused researcher whose work bridges political sociology and political Islam, especially where identity, law, and local institutions shape real-world outcomes. He brings long experience in policy-relevant research, public-facing writing, and field-informed analysis across Indonesia. Professionally, Adri spent over a decade at RSIS/NTU Singapore and later completed his PhD at the University of Hamburg, focusing on Shari’ah law, matrilineal systems, and agrarian conflict in Minangkabau.
